Pain Mapping: Minimize Treatment for Chronic Back Pain [video]

Pain mapping is performed using state-of-the-art tools, local anesthesia and light sedation while the patient is awake. An x-ray injection filled with medication is inserted to find the specific nerve causing the pain. Pain mapping allows a physician to isolate the exact points of pain and be more precise in the treatment of those areas. Patients who undergo this procedure may be able to avoid more invasive approaches to treatment. Don’t let chronic back problems keep you from enjoying life!

    3. I would like to be able to ask questions that does not seem to have answers in your website. When I click in you schedulle of seminars, I am taken to the same place but not the schedulle.

    • 1. Our website is in the process of being re-created, which will eliminate that form at the top of every page. If you scroll down under the form you will see your new information. We apologize for the current inconvenience!
      2. The laser shrinks the disc that is bulging and putting pressure on nerves. In this way it can help to relieve leg pain. There are also microscopic nerves that innervate the intervertebral disc. These can be deadened by the laser. This can help to relieve back pain.
      3. If you click on the seminar information, it will take you to the page, but yes, the form will be at the top. Just scroll down under the form and you will see the dates. We are posting new seminar dates this week, so check back at the end of the week for the seminar dates scheduled for the rest of the year. You can also keep up to date with seminars as we post them on our Facebook as well at http://www.facebook.com/zerospinepain
      4. There are many treatment options for spinal stenosis starting with anti-inflammatory medications, physical therapy and epidural steroid injections. Surgical options include inter-spinous process spacers, endoscopic laminotomy/laminectomy and minimally invasive fusion procedures if there is deformity, instability or severe back pain associated with the stenotic segment.

The best way to have answers addressed would be to have one of our physicians evaluate you and review your MRI to determine what the best course of treatment would be for your specific problem.

Hope this information helps! Please, feel free to reach out to us over the phone as well with any additional questions at 972-884-4406.
